You can sit and wait for the next bug fix or for one of these providers to address your safety concerns, or you can start co-evolving a personal agent as needs arise. I have chosen the latter. A personal agent is something you should fully own, from the traces to memory to all outputs. So much resistance to building your own harness and agents. I understand the fear of maintaining yet another thing. But AI makes it easy to build and maintain this stuff. It's not that hard to build agents today, folks. You seriously should consider building your own solution. This is a great time to start. Start from scratch, keep it minimal, and evolve it as you go. Or you can start with an open-source solution like Pi Durable and build from there (btw, Pi Durable is crazy good for this stuff).view source ↗

Here are our highest conversion rate channels and what we've learned through a lot of trial and error. Free game!! 1// In-person events. The best channel we have in terms of conversion rate / ROI. We used to host our own events (just Petra Labs inviting people) and struggled to get great attendees. We then shifted to outsourcing the hardest part (getting ppl to show up) to trusted partners. We've had a lot of success partnering with vertical-specific influencers (s/o @andruyeung @RosenZone @taykcrane) and having our investors source on our behalf (@jerseejess BEST early stage investor there is!). We've hit a good flow and now average 2-3 dinners per month. 2// Referral / channel partners. This is a tricky one and for most start-ups it ends up being a massive time drain and they stop investing in it. It was the same for us at the beginning too. But, we did a few things that I think turned the tide: -> Shift away from other "businesses" that are in the same boat as us. We've found absolutely 0 success getting other companies to send their own customers our way. And in reverse, theres a REALLY high bar for me to hit up one of my customers and ask them to go spend money on someone else. -> Focus more on people who have networks that they don't have vested interests in. E.g. actual customers of ours, prospects in our pipeline that like us but aren't ready to convert yet, influencers who have a lot of reach and can make good money sending people our way, etc. -> Automated follow-up reminders. Basically have a claude-built system that makes sure these relationships stay warm. 3// Posting on LinkedIn + daily connections. Every day I send out cold connection requests to people in my ICP. And then I leave it, and don't message them. Through this method, I've added about 2000+ followers over the last year alone in my core ICP. Then, you let the content engine rip. Daily / weekly posts about: research, customer case studies, company cuview source ↗

I think OMP is great but my perception is dramatically changing due to the social interactions. Ghostty doesn’t compete with what you’re doing. I want you to succeed. My responses to this are in the interest of intellectual curiosity and honesty. I want libghostty to enable as many things (including agentic harnesses and IDEs) as possible and I’d just like to make that good. This isn’t a fight. This is just my interest in the engineering community working together to make everything around us better if possible. But for sone reason it’s become some immature name calling exercise? I’m so confused lol. I just want to see and read the code (of the harness) so we can make everything better. What you’re doing doesn’t have to be or get worse. Everyone can win.view source ↗

DevDay promised 20 releases and delivered almost nothing. Promising 28 features in 28 days right after that feels like a stretch. The whole sprint feels like a retention bribe. They see builders packing up to leave and want us to keep paying. It feels desperate. DevDay promised 20 releases and delivered almost nothing. Green checks don’t mean safe code This PR passed build and lint but leaked customer account numbers. I have too much irl life ongoing, I cannot work as much as I could (however I still work a lot, just randomly though the day). people constantly asking me eta, everywhere for everything, then if I don't do it in a week, they pointing at me. I know it is open-source and work/life in general, but oh god it is stressful and tiring. ai doing everything, replace us, we need to use rust omarchy, god knows what. it is like when "you need to just nextjs else you ngmi" feeling tbh, just feels more faster. seems things change faster, but I don't think so. we live in the most interesting timeline but in the same time, the most stressful one for sure.view source ↗

So, back at it on Monday...I'm trying to think about what to do with this. I want to change my approach to AI news and social media (I get most of the latest AI updates from X). But I still need to know what's happenning. But I don't want to get sucked into it and start to stress about all the new stuff. I think I'll build a tool to help me balance that.view source ↗

Use a warm off-white canvas, near-black backgrounds, bold typography and one vivid orange accent. The orange dot connects every scene: it starts in the UI, becomes the dot over a letter, traces a spring graph, grows into a shape and returns on the end card. A cursor makes the opening click feel real. Keep the motion sharp and controlled, with small spring overshoots and no dead time. Banned: stock footage, gradients, glows, particle bursts, random transitions and motion that isn't connected to an element already on screen. </direction> <structure> Around 15 seconds, with a visual change on every major beat. Open: a cursor clicks the orange toggle beside "Reduce Motion". The letters bend and move into place until only "Motion" remains, with the orange dot above the "i". Spring: the dot jumps away from the word and lands on a graph. Its path draws a spring response, overshoots the target and settles beside a "+22%" callout. Shape: the dot shoots across a line, grows into an orange circle and fills the frame. A black rounded square rotates inside it, then stretches into a pill. The scene contracts to a single orange dot on black. Type: words like "SPRINGS", "EASING", "KINETIC TYPE", "3D" and "SOUND" orbit the dot. The circle of type opens out into a field of tiny dots. Reveal: the halftone field expands and flips to black, revealing the final card: "Opus 5.5", "Motion designer." and "0 keyframes". Return: the orange dot moves back through the halftone, graph and toggle. Match the final frame to theview source ↗
