Argon is a huge step forward for Gemini, and a labor of love. This model has been battle tested by over 100,000 people at Google over the last month, with so much new innovation, ambition, and hard work baked into this release. The team has been heads down over the last 6 months working to make this possible across the stack (research, infra, safety, eng, etc). We rolled the model out to cyber defenders as part of our fairwind program and early access customers over the last 2 weeks, it has been amazing to see and talk to folks who are now using this model daily. Seeing the models writing capability, raw knowledge and persistence for coding, paired with new features like 1M token output when the model needs to work more has gotten me even more excited about our path ahead. This is just the start of the Gemini 4 era. As you saw with 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 Flash, our iteration speed with Gemini is fast : ) Now with Gemini 4 Argon to work from, I am cannot wait to see the progress continue, and most importantly see what this new model enables for the world. This is such a special moment in the arc of technology, as millions of people everyday tackle problems they could never have thought possible before. Gemini 4 Argon was built to help you tackle the hardest problems. I have personally felt this spark with Argon and hope you do too. Onwards!!view source ↗

I've been experimenting with a lot of ADEs lately: • @herdrdev • Cmux • @orca_build • Devin @cognition • @tryreplicas • @bot • @claudeai code cloud • @conductor_build Planning to do a review on them: pros and cons, what I like and dislike, what I think they're missing, etc. What else should I should try? His words: “I talked to all the leaders of all the labs, all the heads of research, and I was like, no, Alex is the guy. He’s the fucking guy.” Even Zuck admits people doubted it. It looked like “the social media guy is working with the data guy.” It started with one 44-minute call. Two days later, Wang sent him a long note on what he would do in Zuck’s seat. Point one: Meta didn’t need a lot of people. Talent density was the thing that mattered. Wang dropped out of MIT after a year, started Scale AI at 19 and became the youngest self-made billionaire at 24. In 2025 Meta put $14.3 billion into Scale for a 49% stake and brought him in to run Meta Superintelligence Labs. This week that lab shipped Muse Wonder Full. The Full version scores 56 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index. Only Claude Opus 5.5 scores higher. https://t.co/THtp9BTRwXview source ↗

Human connection matters more than ever, and I can't wait to see what they build together. Congrats @WhitWolfeHerd.view source ↗

Atari had actually paid Jobs about $5,000. Woz said: “Who cares about money? Well, you do care about friendship and honesty.” Jobs was working the night shift at Atari. the company wanted a new arcade game called Breakout, built with as few chips as possible. Jobs couldn't build it. Woz could. he already had a full-time job at Hewlett-Packard, and Jobs said they had four days. Woz went four days with no sleep. both of them came down with mono. Woz did it in 45 chips. Atari's own engineers were using 150 or more. he took his $350 and was happy with it. Jobs took the rest and went up to Oregon to buy into a farm. about ten years later, Woz read the real number in a book about Atari. by then the two of them had built Apple, and Woz was a multimillionaire. if Jobs had just told him he needed the money, Woz says, “I would say take it all.” it wasn't the last time. before Apple went public in 1980, Jobs refused to give stock options to Daniel Kottke, his friend since college, who had helped build the first Apple computers. Woz did the opposite. he sold his own shares cheaply to Kottke and other early employees who had been left out. one friend kept almost all of a $5,000 bonus. the other gave away millions. was Jobs a genius who knew what business takes, or just a bad friend?view source ↗
