You recorded those hours because that was the only way to move what you know into somebody else's work. A Skill does that now. It is a written procedure for one job, in a file, and the buyer installs it into whatever AI platform they already pay for. They run it and the job comes out done. So the product comes apart. Every outcome your course promises falls on one of two sides. Delivery is anything you could break into a sequence of steps, running on inputs the buyer already has. That ships as files and it works for them in the first hour. Teaching is anything needing somebody to weigh two defensible options where the right answer depends on context a file cannot see. That stays with you, and it gets worth more, because a buyer holding files and no teaching cannot tell a good output from a plausible one. Run the split on your own curriculum and expect about two thirds of it to fall on the delivery side.view source ↗

I used to struggle with design. Now I give Claude real designs and component libraries built by actual designers, and it assembles the UI for me. Instead of a mere “software factory”, try to create a “Michelin restaurant”. Create processes and tools that make beautiful code automatically. Think about code reviews like sampling. You can’t afford to taste every dish, but you should spot check. Ask “where am I the bottleneck? How can I get the agent to answer its own questions?” Create inner loops and outer loops. Inner loops accomplish tasks. Outer loops coordinate inner loops and analyze the big picture. Your skills should get smaller over time as agents improve.. Focus on workflows, not implementation details. Connectors trigger new work. Connect your bots to Jira, GitHub issues, etc so they begin work automatically. Make it easy for agents to verify their work. Create a CLI for your app and a skill that calls the CLI. Then agents can verify their work consistently and efficiently. A good code base is easy to change.view source ↗

I think one of the kindest things you can do for yourself during difficult times is leave room for the thought that life will get better. You don't have to feel hopeful every day. Haiku judges. You sleep Jev engineering is the same move one layer down: yes/no calls inside the loop (same error as last turn, did the diff leave scope, retry or stop) go to Jev in ~100 ms, and the big model only thinks where thinking pays anyone still typing "continue" at 2am isn't running an agent, they're its while loop The full tree > Opus 5.5 on high runs the main session > Auto mode approves tool calls inside each turn > /goal holds one measurable end state and a stated check > "or stop after 20 turns" is the leash > Haiku judges after every turn > a prompt-based Stop hook in settings.json does the same for every session paste build and this prompt into Claude Code ↓ "Set up my Claude Code for unattended runs around this tree: 1. The last couple generations of models did 2 things: - caused orgs to prioritise shipping speed so much that engineers everywhere had large knowledge gaps about the code their models were shipping. Poor reviews, poor mental models, and essentially this state of constant anxiety due to being out of touch with things they’re accountable for. - models had so much verbosity in their explanations that it wasn’t even possible to read whatever they were generating. It was impossible to ask an LLM about the code it was writing without confusing yourself even more. Opus 5.5 fixed the second issue by being absolutely beautiful in terms of generating explanations using animations, interactive artifacts and just… very simple, easy-to-understand language. Not to mention, the code it writes narrows that gap even more. On the other hand, orgs have slowly started to adopt better engineering practices after watching their software go through massive quality issues. This feels like such a win. You don’t have to write code, reviewing is a lot easier, and you’re also now very familiar with the code you’re shipping.view source ↗
