We are renting capacity on a long-term basis, call it five-year contracts, to credit-quality customers. There are shorter-term contracts that we will do at higher margins, but they are riskier. Then there are other services that we provide, like Crusoe Managed Inference and our serverless fine-tuning product. Those contracts are typically much shorter-term in nature, and they end up being higher margin to Crusoe.” @ChaseLochmiller Love to hear your thoughts @branninmcbee @bernhardsson @vipulved @tuhinoneview source ↗

Some thoughts, tips, and realizations: 1. Specializations are collapsing. Come to terms with and take advantage of this reality. The person who used to be an engineer is now also a data scientist, a content creator, designer, marketer, and whatever else they want to be. Deliberately expand in as many directions as you can and become great at them (scope up vs just speeding up) 2. The average person with access to tokens can now do the work of a data scientist who used to cost $500,000 a year. Seriously, this is fucking crazy. This opens up an entirely new world. Take advantage of it (also everyone else will also realize this over time). 3. 99% of what's created is now slop. Be aggressively anti-slop and you will absolutely stand out. 4. Trying is nearly free. Automating is nearly free. My mind still sometimes lives in the world from 12 months ago where an idea automatically is attached to a certain amount of time or effort. Both of these have collapsed to close to zero (or just token cost), I therefore try and experiment with *any and all* ideas with potential and have needed to retrain my brain for this constantly. 5. Tokens are a career and growth accelerant. Find ways to get cheap access to tokens, or free tokens. Extremely important, and actually an entire design space, use your imagination. 6. It's never been easier to both stand out but also fall behind. 10x, 100x "people" exist more than ever (maybe 1,000x). Outlier power users of AI, many who you see here on X. Feels like we are in a window of time, a window of opportunity while all of this is still early, to take advantage of it. 7. Local computing is (or will be) dead for 99% of work. Local was built for a world where work was bounded by the physical presence of its author, but this is no longer true. You can and should do infinite work in parallel or zero, it doesn't matter anymore. Cloud agents enable thiview source ↗

A mod is a Claude Code plugin whose behaviour is a hooks module: JavaScript or TypeScript that exports register(on, options). Inside it, on(event, hook) attaches middleware to the engines own events. Each hook can watch an event, rewrite it, or answer it in place of the engine. @claudeai can also directly control the console and the console can directly steer claude code autonomously. Steps to install and use it in claude code cli. /plugin marketplace add ruvnet/ruflo /plugin install ruflo-console@ruflo /plugin install ruflo-mods@ruflo /reload-plugins /ruflo ** make sure you're using the latest claude cli or desktop. It's opinionated on the edge but deeply customizable inside. To iterate on the designs, I’m deploying a fleet of Claude Sonnet 5.5 workers orchestrated by Claude Opus 5.5. They generate variations of an RML template constrained by a custom design system and a layout concept to stay aligned with the overall desired aesthetic. Here is what some of these variations look like using the 'strip' layout concept:view source ↗

Or will AI models become a commodity? I think the top labs will continue to stay a few months ahead of everyone else. But two things limit RSI: - Compute can't scale quickly in the near term (hardware singularity still years off) - Intelligence saturation: Marginal returns to more intelligence will start *declining* (even though they previously were *increasing*) for most problems The top labs have an upper bound on their progress from compute limits, which prevents a true takeoff. At the same time, AI agents are saturating benchmarks for chat, research, computer use, spreadsheet work, and soon, I hypothesize, coding. If this is true, then new flagship models will be better, but not enough better to command much higher prices than now. Meanwhile, the diffusion of AI research will continue in full force, allowing all the other labs to stay close in capabilities. So, the price of intelligence will continue to drop incredibly, and cheap models will be able to do most of the work people want done. Most people will not pay a subscription for that but get it free, funded by advertising, on the same business model that allowed Google to offer so many Web 2.0 products for free. ------- For the sign of the marginal return to more intelligence, a key question is how more intelligence affects AI research itself. Getting to the point where AI can execute valuable experiments reliably to fill compute-time is incredibly valuable. But, we're pretty much there today. After all the compute is being used for reasonable experiments with a certain expected gain each, how much could more intelligence help? We'd need AI to help with research taste. Plausibly, new top models *could* make important contributions here, which gives some uncertainty to the overall thesis. But knowing that every other benchmark or task follows the same saturation curve means that even AI researview source ↗

At Duke, I had the chance to demonstrate a robot dog at NC SciFest through STEM outreach. That’s something I’d like to keep doing as my career grows. I spend a lot of time thinking about the next project, the next role, and connecting with people already working in robotics. I don’t want those to become the only reasons I share my work. There’s value in making time for someone who’s simply curious. Someone who hasn’t studied controls, used ROS 2, or decided whether engineering is for them. They shouldn’t need the right technical vocabulary to join the conversation. Not every interaction needs to lead to a job or a collaboration. Sometimes giving someone a closer look at a robot and room to ask questions is worthwhile on its own. I want to make more room for that side of engineering too. #Robotics #STEMOutreach #Engineeringview source ↗
