One technique involved incorporating props into his performances. Holding or interacting with objects gave him ways to disguise certain movements while continuing to work without audiences realizing what he was experiencing. Fox publicly revealed his diagnosis in 1998 and later became one of the world’s most prominent advocates for Parkinson’s research.
