He came back this week with $250 million and a factory that turns lines of code into tiny working machines. Type different code, a different machine comes out the other end. That sounds fake. Here's why it took six years. A chip fab is the most precise factory humans have ever built, and it makes exactly one kind of thing. Flat silicon that processes information. The moment you want moving parts, multiple materials, or real 3D structure, you leave the fab for a world where getting one new device into production takes years and tens of millions of dollars. Engineers call it one product, one process. It's the reason micro-machines never got their Moore's Law. Holden's Matter Compiler kills the per-product process entirely. Features down to a few microns, no new tooling, and the system measures and corrects every step while it builds, then feeds what it learned into the next design. His first product is the tell on how sharp the strategy is. PrimeSwitch is a 150-amp relay for 800-volt power in AI data centers. It opens in roughly 50 microseconds, about 1,000x faster than a normal contactor. So the first thing to come out of a universal factory is aimed at the one market where demand is basically infinite and a faster switch means less fried hardware. Neal Stephenson wrote the Matter Compiler as fiction in 1995. Holden just shipped the first real product out of one, and it's a light switch for AI data centers.view source ↗

A model that watches a video as it plays and continuously reconstructs the 3D world — stable over sequences longer than 10,000 frames. It's called LingBot-Map. ECCV 2026 Best Paper Award Candidate. 17,800 stars. And the engineering problem it solves is the one that's kept real-time 3D reconstruction stuck in research labs for years. Here's the gap it closes. Traditional 3D reconstruction — the kind used in robotics, AR, and autonomous navigation — works by iterative optimization. Feed in a whole video, let an algorithm grind through it for minutes or hours, get a point cloud back. That's fine for offline processing. It's useless if a robot needs to understand where it is right now, while it's still moving. Streaming reconstruction has always traded accuracy for speed, or speed for sequence length — long videos caused drift, where the reconstructed camera position slowly diverges from reality the longer the sequence runs. LingBot-Map's Geometric Context Transformer fixes both simultaneously. Here's the architecture trick that makes 10,000+ frame sequences stable. Three components working together: anchor context for coordinate grounding, a pose-reference window for dense geometric cues, and trajectory memory for long-range drift correction. The model doesn't just process the current frame — it maintains a running memory of where it's been, continuously correcting itself against that memory so errors don't compound over a 13-minute walkthrough. Paired with paged KV cache attention via FlashInfer, the same technique that makes long-context LLM inference efficient — applied here to 3D geometry instead of text. Here's what 20 FPS at 518×378 resolution actually means in practice. Point a camera at a space. The model builds the 3D map as you walk through it, in real time, without the pose driftiview source ↗

And then something like this happens. Got accepted into the @claudeai Startups Program! 🚀 Huge thanks to @AnthropicAI for supporting early-stage founders. This wasn't just about the credits. It was about getting that extra push when we needed it the most. A small win, but it means a lot. ❤️ Back to building. 🚀view source ↗

You have to keep scheduled posts reliable, handle expired tokens, deal with API changes, rate limits and weird edge cases. You can vibe code the interface in a weekend. Then you get to maintain everything behind it. That comes with its own headaches, and it doesn’t make you immune to competition. But if I were looking for a SaaS idea today, I’d think about what people don’t want to build and keep running themselves 🤞view source ↗

That makes the argument about who gets compute an explicit budget decision, each project gets a guaranteed share of GPU time set by managers in advance. The scheduler no longer has to improvise office politics. Instead, it tracks actual usage against those shares over a sliding window and prioritizes under-used groups, while a minimum-runtime contract lets it preempt and rebalance long jobs. The new scheduler makes it feel like they have an extra 30% compute. Any system that has to allocate scarce, preemptible resources can learn from this: turn the fight into a budget, then let the algorithm enforce fairness over time. https://t.co/rv6B04rsXNview source ↗

"There have been people that decompiled the entire, the entire big five. What is the big five? Adobe has five very, very important products in their product suite. Freeberg may know them all, but I just know Photoshop. There's like a bunch of others. Okay." "And these folks decompiled it, distilled it, and published open source versions of these things. And Rust, yeah. And I was so shocked, because I was like, hold on a second, these are like profound products that have existed and have had moats for years, and now they're just open source versions." "And then Nikita was, I think, trolling, and he was building on that idea, and just talking about GTA, because it's about to get released. I think GTA 6 is about to come out, and we'll reconstruct this." "Why is this important?" "I think that IP and software was effectively rendered worthless two days ago." "Because if you think about it, when everything is headless, so when Elon makes his services headless, Benioff made Salesforce headless a few months earlier, when all of these things are headless, and you can wrap them in agent tools, and you can connect them via MCP to other experiences, the value of IP does no longer exist in software. It doesn't exist." "And I think that probably is the most profound implication." "So, like, even in our business, we would argue with some of our customers all the time, because we'll say, oh, we'll build this for you, we'll own the IP. They'll say, no, we want the IP. We don't know how to negotiate it. And two days ago, I walked into the 8090 guys, I said, who cares? Who cares? But before, it was always a neview source ↗

I like Anthropic's philosophy, they seem to avoid pure generation like image, video, music, and instead opt for coding, vector drawings etc. Seems like a good line to draw.
