We used it to pretrain a foundation model for BCI: self-supervised neural encoders that turn noisy, drifting spikes into stable representations. Some initial results: • Decoders that keep working for weeks instead of days. For some users, calibration dropped from 10 min/day to 10 min/week • Teleporting cursors that jump straight to the intended target • A new cursor-control record of 11.32 bits per second (exceeding the performance of most able-bodied people) We’re just getting started. Future directions include pooling data across participants, one-shot (or zero-shot) calibration, and an API for the motor cortex. Read more: https://t.co/sIQXFUI7pcview source ↗

The role: build and deploy Warp Agent. It runs all of people ops for high-growth companies. Our customers are AI-native companies in hypergrowth. They're deploying Warp Agent into their core People function today, and they push us harder every week. You'll own big pieces end to end: the agent harness, durable execution for long-running work, evals and guardrails, permissions, and every surface where people delegate to the agent. Employee data is the most sensitive data a company has. Correctness matters more than demos. Agents will soon do more work on Warp than people do. You'll build the systems that get us there. You'll work directly with me and @rankintweets, our cto NYC, in person. Top of market cash and meaningful equity. DM me if you're interested.view source ↗

LLMs don’t need retraining to become more capable. Our new architecture, Spotlight, gives AI models growing memory, allowing them to gain knowledge and capabilities without changing their weights. He tried to “distill just a little bit” from OpenAI while building his own local AI model. OpenAI banned him. He appealed. They unbanned him. He tried again. BANNED AGAIN 😭 Now here’s where this gets interesting... PewDiePie is building Ajax, a small local AI model for his open-source Odysseus project. He needed better training data, so he experimented with using outputs from OpenAI as part of that process. And honestly, I’m conflicted. AI companies have trained models on huge amounts of our internet data, often without every creator explicitly agreeing to have their work used for AI training. But when a solo developer tries to learn from the output of one of those models to build something himself, suddenly there’s a hard line? I understand OpenAI protecting its models from companies trying to extract and replicate them at scale. But this is where I’m genuinely unsure. PewDiePie isn’t some giant competing AI lab. He’s basically a solo developer experimenting with a small local model. Should the same rules really apply here? Where exactly should the line be?view source ↗
