It's the deployment model. The strategy: embed engineers directly inside client operations until the product becomes load-bearing infrastructure. By the time anyone reviews the contract, the switching cost is already existential. Most enterprise SaaS sells access. Palantir sells operational dependency — deliberately, structurally, at the process layer. Wang's framing is worth taking seriously. This is someone who built a company on the hard side of enterprise AI sales, now running AI infrastructure at Meta. When he calls out a commercial strategy as unusually ruthless, he's seen the comparison set. What makes Palantir's model durable: the moat isn't the product, it's the integration depth. You can't rip out something that runs your ops without rebuilding the ops. That's a different category of lock-in than a SaaS password. The valuation debate around Palantir misses this. You're not pricing a software multiple. You're pricing an irreversibility premium.view source ↗

Imagine you have a dev who works for you, you give him a task and since he's senior you expect him to do it end to end. That's how working with devin is. Pair it with Slack and Linear and you will actually feel like you have a dev working remotely for you. The only difference is that Devin replies on time, picks the task on time, does not complain the project is boring, the equipment sucks, the tech stack sucks and picks any task, even if it's not dev related.view source ↗

Astra 6 reads the question and decides how long it deserves, a lookup returns instantly, a hard call is allowed to sit and think for a full minute. The budget is set before the first token, so an easy task never burns a deep trace and a genuinely hard one never gets cut off halfway to save a benchmark. It reports how sure it is alongside the answer, and a low number triggers more thinking automatically instead of shipping a confident guess on time. The slow answers turned out to be the valuable ones, because the problems worth paying a model for were never the ones you needed back in a second. The latency race was optimising the one thing that didn't matter, and the first model to opt out of it is the one people actually trust. See how the thinking budget gets set below👇view source ↗
