OpenAI started watermarking your text. DGX Spark went from $3,999 at launch to $6,950. Micro Center started scanning ID to sell an RTX 5090. Micron sold 75% of its 2027 memory to someone who is not you. What happened to the things I own: Nothing. My 4x 3090 are the same cards. The Qwen weights on my SSD are the same file. Nobody emailed me about a new tier. I dont run local models because they are the smartest. I run them because its the only part of my AI setup where the rules didnt change this week. Download the weights. Buy the hardware. Do it before the next announcement.view source ↗

The biggest issue in my view, is cannibalization 3/ write the article with AI but I touch it manually where I need, and make sure its accurate and its better than whatever is out there. This can even be a small article like 400 words or something to start with. At this point I just want to test waters and see how this topic would rank for my own website 4/ wait a few days and see how it ranks, then complete the article to make it better and better, with data from GSC or data from other competitor articles 5/ build backlinks to this article after a few weeks if the article (or certain queries) are below position 40 Its boring, tedious and requires quite some effort I do mostly b2b saas and b2b websites but it should work for ecom as well with collection pages and stuff I do the same for all my websites and my customer's websites and it worksview source ↗

API customers can turn it on for select models worldwide today. The watermark is an invisible statistical signal. A detector can use it to flag likely OpenAI-generated text. It can't tell you who wrote the text or who owns it. OpenAI admits the limits. Its detector often misses short passages, and a rewrite or translation strips the watermark out. That leaves one real target: text someone pasted without changing a word. Most AI writing doesn't need a watermark anyway. You can spot it on sight.view source ↗

What they like is puzzle solving, and having a repertoire of patterns that they can pattern match onto traditionally hard problems, usually involving databases or something with scale, etc. And they know that the industry used to pay you a lot for how deep and broad this repertoire was. Unfortunately, in 2026, well, you have a cheat code machine that has infinite breadth and depth for pattern matching. So the question is, do you actually like hard problems? Because there are now hard problems that are a complection of engineering, product, society, culture, politics, and they are fairly intractable, probably unsolvable! Because if you do want to work on those actually hard problems, there is so much money that people will pay you for it. But you’ll have to face that truth about yourself first.view source ↗
