Most people bent that rule a little. They checked personal email, paid bills over lunch, or watched YouTube with headphones on. Then we discovered that one employee was using his laptop for something entirely different. His name was Darren. He had been with the company for nearly six years, kept to himself, received solid performance reviews, and had never gotten into trouble. Honestly, he seemed like the last person we would have suspected....view source ↗

• twitter 1w positiveGemini is replacing custom “Gems” with reusable skills inside normal chat. That feels like the right direction. People don’t want 12 tiny AI personalities. They want one assistant that knows 12 ways they work. Customization should feel like memory, not programming. Gemini is replacing custom “Gems” with reusable skills inside normal chat. An agent isn't a model An agent is a model + a harness The paper reveals the exact blueprint behind modern AI harnesses: • 7 core runtime subsystems • Context rationing & token budget tricks • Tool sandboxing & state checkpointing • Hardened loop orchestration & safety controlsview source ↗

We spend years building OpenAlgo, OpenAlgo Charts and OpenScript from the ground up. We don’t want all that engineering effort exposed to unnecessary IP or legal risk just for the convenience of directly converting another platform’s proprietary language or ecosystem. There is historical precedent for taking this seriously. In 2017, MetaQuotes took legal action against PFSOFT, the company behind ProTrader, alleging misuse of MetaQuotes intellectual property. A Cyprus court issued an injunction requiring PFSOFT to remove certain MetaQuotes-related files, components, libraries and programs from its products and restricted copying and reverse engineering of MetaTrader/MQL-related software. PFSOFT disputed the allegations but agreed to comply with the demands while defending its position. That case is a useful reminder for us. OpenAlgo can provide open APIs, documented interfaces and tools that allow developers to build integrations around the platform. But directly building converters around proprietary languages or ecosystems is something we approach very carefully. All our engineering effort cannot be put at unnecessary risk for one convenience feature. We would rather build original technology and open standards. That is also one of the reasons we built OpenScript. https://t.co/DK9kGicMBkview source ↗
