TikTok Ads: Legendary, takes some time to figure out and your app needs to have good user economics but once you find winning creatives it's amazing. Also: TIKTOK ADS MCP
Meta Ads: Same, I prefer TikTok but it depends on your niche
Canvas UGC: The only form of UGC that's reliable. Posting on new accounts makes it both in-line with the nature of UGC as well as making it accessible to creators. Result? you pay little. It requires good understanding of UGC, good management skills, and good payment terms. Also, outreach can be tough sometimes
TikTok Farm: Usually with slideshows, which are only effective on TikTok. It does require many phones obviously, and good software to manage them. For software I recommend Ghost Farm by @wbyanme (not sponsored)
Organic slideshows: Highest ROI, organic way to post content for free. My go-to for testing the waters for a new app. Only on TikTok, the algorithm loves slideshows for some reason. Instagram not at all.
Reddit: Somewhat niche but works if you have a fitting audience. You can also artificially acquire upvotes, and AI indexes reddit too so win-win. Creates a lasting reputation for your app
X: You can go mega viral like with @nestymee if you have something good to show
Organic UGC: Good but you need to have acting skills and a good phone, and you need to understand the principles of UGC very well (appear professionally unprofessional)
Regular UGC: Inherently inferior to Canvas UGC. Why would you buy 1 video for $100? Only use case is if you need a quick video for a launch or website
ASO: Not a lifechanger but you need to have this done properly since it amplifies all your other marketing channels when people visit your app store page
Clipping (slideshows): Only works if your app has something visual to sell. Middle-man parties usually take a large chunk of revenue like 20%. Also suffers from some botting scams
YouTube: Can work, especially with automation like the legen
Zuckerberg talked to every AI lab leader before picking Alexandr Wang.
Meta even tried to buy Ilya Sutskever’s SSI, Mira Murati’s Thinking Machines and Perplexity.
His words: “I talked to all the leaders of all the labs, all the heads of research, and I was like, no, Alex is the guy. He’s the fucking guy.”

Meta even tried to buy Ilya Sutskever’s SSI, Mira Murati’s Thinking Machines and Perplexity.
His words: “I talked to all the leaders of all the labs, all the heads of research, and I was like, no, Alex is the guy. He’s the fucking guy.”
Even Zuck admits people doubted it. It looked like “the social media guy is working with the data guy.”
It started with one 44-minute call. Two days later, Wang sent him a long note on what he would do in Zuck’s seat. Point one: Meta didn’t need a lot of people. Talent density was the thing that mattered.
Wang dropped out of MIT after a year, started Scale AI at 19 and became the youngest self-made billionaire at 24. In 2025 Meta put $14.3 billion into Scale for a 49% stake and brought him in to run Meta Superintelligence Labs.
This week that lab shipped Muse Wonder Full. The Full version scores 56 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index. Only Claude Opus 5.5 scores higher. https://t.co/THtp9BTRwX
Theo's right about everything but he's missing one thing.
Right:
- It is (annoyingly) a good model. Reality would be simpler if this weren't the case, but no, it's actually very good.
- It is horrendous at UI
- It speaks very nicely; feels smart, heavy, and big
Wrong:
- THERE IS NO SUBSCRIPTION SUBSIDY. OMG THIS THIN…Theo's right about everything but he's missing one thing.

Wrong:
- THERE IS NO SUBSCRIPTION SUBSIDY. OMG THIS THING IS FUCKING EXPENSIVE.
Theo seemingly has an API key that is giving him unlimited access to the model so he wasn't able to get a good sense for pricing.
I first started with the $5 plan, couldn't finish a single turn, upgraded to $15 plan, couldn't finish more than a couple turns, upgraded to the $50 plan, couldn't finish the whole request, and finally upgraded to the $200 plan an hour ago, and IT'S GONE (5 hr limit).
Afaict there is no actual reason to use Muse Wonder (Full) at all at these prices.
If Meta's $200 subscription quota is really what it costs to use AI for coding (and it probably is), then we are all in for a very, very rude awakening when the token subsidies end.
I got to $2.5k/m in ~30 days with Apple ads.
• You get $100 from apple for free.
• It's still the easiest marketing meta.
This is what I'd do today:
1. Use [strict] keywords only.
2. Keywords = competitor's name.
3. Split campaigns by territory group.
4. Adjust CPT for each (i.e US is more).

5. Use the recommended CPT from apple.
6. Make sure you have a cracked app store page.
7. Hire someone to do your screenshots or use AI.
8. Use the new store assets!! Search banners etc.
9. Budget about $25/day at first, increase ongoing.
10. Wait to see how the ads spend over 2 days.
11. No spend = competition spending more.
12. Increase the CPT until you find a good balance.
13. Export data, give to Claude to find winners.
14. Scale those further.
Note:
Apple ads is like ASO, it won't work if your niche is insanely saturated. The ideal situation: one big app doing organic, where people search for the name (and keyword) and then get shown our hyper targeted ad.
Another point: some industries won't work for indie devs. For example, finance. Big companies will buy their own keywords at $25 per tap just to spite the competition. Positioning matters way more with Apple ads.
🚨do you understand what Zuckerberg just admitted about Meta's first frontier model.
Zuckerberg: "We're gonna write this check for like $100 billion, $200 billion. I'm like, Alex, are you sure this is going to work?"
Alexandr Wang: "…certainly not clear at all that it was going to work."
it's called Muse Wonder.

here's the part nobody is talking about:
> Meta's own tests put it level with Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra
> on MemoryBench it beats Fable, Opus and Astra
> $4 input, $20 output per million tokens, same tier as Opus 5.5
> trained at Prometheus, Meta's new data center in Ohio
> no independent benchmarks yet
$200 billion. one bet. and the guy signing the check wasn't sure it would work.
now we find out if it did.

About two years later, I'm a founding engineer at an AI startup at a very good compensation just after graduating from @bitspilaniindia , that too when my degree was in Electrical Engineering.
3 things actually moved the needle:
1. Hackathons were my real interviews.
My first win in April 2024 paid ₹75,000 and pulled me into Web3. Then $3,000 from Superteam for Defiant, a voice agent for Web3. Then 1st place in the agentic AI track at Starknet Hacker Games, the turning point of my life. Then $2,000 at the Aptos hackathon.
A resume says you can build. A hackathon proves it in 48 hours, in front of people who hire.
2. Paid open source is real, and most students don't know it exists.
I got into the Protocol Labs Developer Guild (PLDG) and earned around $8,000 shipping PRs to real projects. Real codebases, real reviews, real money.
Hackathons plus open source added up to around $14,000 while I was still in college.
3. Never bet everything on one offer.
I got a PPO at @trovesfi, a Web3 startup, and skipped college placements for it. Then market conditions got it revoked.
So I said yes to everything. I spent June to August doing growth at @Gullynest1 : listed multiple properties, called tenants and landlords, tried experimenting with Meta ads (oh boy). Then TenetX, a 300% jump over my last role.
Not the best path i had but yes it was plan B I should have had from day one.
The path, briefly: web dev in first year → first hackathon → ₹15k internship → Eddy Finance (2x pay, a DeFi app with 1.3M+ wallets) → LogX ( Perps Trading and distributed systems) → Troves (hedging strategies, Dca vaults ) → Gullynest → TenetX.
I'll share how I did each of these, properly. What do you want first?
A) How to win hackathons
B) How to get paid for open source
C) How I prepared for interviews after the PPO fell through
🚨 Muse Wonder VS Claude Opus 5.5
meta claims Muse Wonder outperforms models like Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.1, so i decided to put that claim to the test.
i gave Muse Wonder and Opus 5.5 the exact same prompt: build an animated Popeye website from scratch.
and here are the final results from both models.

Mark has been in this for 22 years! I’m sure running one of the most scrutinized platform of this century drains on you, especially as sentiment around social media ruining the lives of teens is at an all time high (Social Reckoning).
My prediction is we’ll see within the next 10 years:
- Alex becomes CEO
- Mark goes full-time on Biohub and Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative
- Meta becomes an intelligence company (vertically integrated intelligence provider), and their social media business becomes a line item

¡Vamos a ganar Sonora!
the most expensive habit in meta ads is refreshing the dashboard and "fixing" things
every edit on a new ad set resets the learning phase
you need ~50 conversions in a week before the data means anything.
tweak it on day 2 and you just threw the clock back to zero
launch it. leave it 5-7 days.

I launched a new app called LockFeed. Let's see how much revenue I can get to if I leverage my whole 2.3M subscribers on YouTube.
LockFeed helps you reduce your screen time by quizzing you on something you care about before you scroll. Like for me, it's the guitar fretboard.

LockFeed helps you reduce your screen time by quizzing you on something you care about before you scroll. Like for me, it's the guitar fretboard.
This is Episode 4 of 10K or Bust. In this video I pivoted from my AI portrait making app to this more simple screen time app.
What I've learned:
- Meta Ads Manager is so cumbersome to use. Just ask Codex with Computer Use to do it for you.
- You can look at your competitors Meta ads they're running, so you can just copy it. Higgsfield SuperComputer, who sponsored this video, taught me that.
- These super simple apps charge $50/year or more, which is why they can afford to spend so much on ads. A lot of them should just be replaced by cheaper alternatives. Like Opal charges $239/year???
- I got rejected 5 times from the App Store, and I thought it was because of my predatory app design. But it's actually just because I didn't check a box for the Family Controls certificate... And App Store review is so ambiguous they wouldn't tell me.
