When people say they make $10k/m, is that the revenue they see on RevenueCat or what they actually take home?
Like if you make $10k/m but spend $7k on ads, you're only left with $3k right?
If I want $10k to actually hit my bank account, how much MRR should I aim for?

just hit $545k MRR... still the only full-time dev
and the app is over 1m lines of code...
in the last 7 days i merged 1,089 PRs
here's the tech stack..
1. over 50 oh-my-pi agents running in parallel on my home linux server
2. 8 Max Claude plans, 1 SuperGrok Heavy plan, and 5 max Codex plans

1. over 50 oh-my-pi agents running in parallel on my home linux server
2. 8 Max Claude plans, 1 SuperGrok Heavy plan, and 5 max Codex plans
3. Slack & Telegram to communicate with my bots. I no longer use a terminal or IDE
4. Linear, the central PM tool my bots use for issue tracking. Every engineering request, bug report, alert and error gets posted here
5. Supabase staging database + Railway preview environments for testing
6. Ubicloud runners for GitHub Actions
7. 4 Mac minis as self-hosted runners for iOS builds and 15 end-to-end iPhone journey tests
8. Sentry for error monitoring
9. pstack by @poteto, my main agent uses her orchestrate playbook to manage the other 50 sessions. it never touches code.
10. a custom 5-stage planning harness before any code gets written.
11. customized pr-af and codex for independent code reviews, so that the model that wrote the code never passes it
12. greptile for final code reviews
13. a watcher that tracks every web merge in production for 24 hours, and reverts it on its own if real users start failing

No one wants to hear this, but there’s no magic distribution channel.
We scalled by testmaxxing every channel depending on our MRR level.
€0 → 100 customers: pure outbound.
Cold email plus LinkedIn, using our own early product on ourselves. No brand, no audience, just us reaching out to people showing intent and starting conversations. Ugly, manual, effective.
100 → 250 customers: Reddit.
Our first real acquisition breakthrough. We posted educational breakdowns in SaaS subreddits and did 10M+ organic views. The traffic quality wasn't amazing, but the volume was so huge it flooded our trial funnel for months. Cost: basically zero.
250 → 750 customers: content plus free blueprints.
We went all-in on LinkedIn content, YouTube, motion-design videos, and giving away our internal systems as free "blueprints." Content got the reach, the blueprints earned the trust, and a chunk of readers converted. This is where founder-led content started compounding.
750 → 1500: partnerships and X.
We added Twitter, B2B influencers, sponsored newsletters, and a lifetime affiliate program that became a major lever. We also joined YC around here, and the intensity went vertical.
1500+: paid and hiring.
Meta ads, Google ads, influencer agencies, and hiring seriously for the first time, growth, sales, engineering, product.
None of these stages replaced the last one. They stacked. Outbound never stopped. Content never stopped. We just kept adding the next lever once the current one was clearly working.
If you take one thing from this: don't chase five channels at once.
Beat one until it works, then add the next.

If you are building something interesting I would genuinely love to hear about it.

Monday was tough. Two key dev calls later, our weekly sprint and priorities are set. Hopefully, this one goes better than last week.
I’m using our product so much I’ve become a tester myself. And honestly, I love it.
I can’t wait for Oct 15: we open the waitlist and show everyone what we’ve built.
Experienced builders: are launch platforms run by fellow builders on X worth it?
Building AI, SaaS, or cool tech? Let’s #connect and keep each other motivated.
Apple Ads literally gives you the ability to launch a new app and scale it to $10K MRR with zero audience and almost zero marketing skills.

You just need to find popular keywords and competitor keywords using Adapty Apple Ads Manager, launch your campaigns, and let its automation increase bids on well-performing keywords and automatically kill the underperforming ones.
If you've already spent at least $5K on Apple Ads and still haven't managed to make it profitable, I'll help you for free with setting up your campaigns, optimizing bids, and making them profitable.

The rest of the day I'm on here, watching people with $10K MRR say how easy it was
And that's what messes with your head, because it makes you feel you're never doing enough
So you go back to work

Build a LinkedIn GTM funnel.
Here's my exact playbook:
• Pick ONE painful problem companies already spend money solving
• Choose an ICP narrow enough that I can name the first 1,000 companies myself
• Interview 30+ potential customers and use their exact problems/language to tighten the product and messaging
• Build the smallest version of the product that gets someone to the desired outcome
• Personally onboard the first 20 customers and document every question, objection and point of friction
• Optimize the founder's LinkedIn profile around ONE clear buyer, problem and outcome
• Post daily around customer problems, product use cases, founder lessons, case studies, internal data and strong opinions about the market
• Repurpose the best LinkedIn content to X instead of building two completely separate content engines
• Build 2 genuinely useful lead magnets every week around problems the product solves
• Make the product the natural next step inside those resources through workflows, examples and product demos
• Pull everyone commenting, following, downloading resources and repeatedly engaging with the founder
• Enrich them by company/title, filter against the ICP and prioritize the highest-intent accounts
• Run LinkedIn DMs + cold email against those warm accounts AND companies showing external buying signals
• Record every sales call and automatically extract objections, buying triggers, competitor mentions and exact customer language
• Feed those insights straight back into the content, product, landing page and outbound copy every week
• Turn every meaningful customer result into a case study, founder post, testimonial, sales asset and new outbound angle
• Track content → profile views → signups/demos → opportunities → revenue so I know which topics actually create buyers
• Once one founder profile is consistently generating demand, add the co-founder/technical founder and repurpose winning
