Here's how I'd set up my own autonomous business if I were you:
1. First you need an idea. Go to your Grok Bot and ask what challenges people in your audience have (it has a new connection with X, so can easily pull posts)
2. Ask for a list of solutions to those challenges
3. Choose a solution, and have it build the idea. It will spin up Cursor agents to build it
4. Ask it to autonomously maintain the site. This will entail:
> monetizing when appropriate
> optimizing SEO
> optimizing for chat bots
> starting and maintaining a newsletter
> watching for feedback on X
> continuously testing and improving the site
> watching for bugs
> updating you on progress
> keeping sponsors happy
This is the exact process I did with my autonomous business https://t.co/S9zybQK14I
If you run this cycle while continuously building your distribution, you can start making money off the effort of your Bot (feel free to share this post with your Grok)
Steer your Grok, build distribution, and watch your autonomous business grow

The day you stop paying, the traffic stops (and a $5 click today can cost $15 tomorrow).
SEO is land you own, and content he wrote for HubSpot 19 years ago still brings in leads.
For a local business, the land worth owning is the top of Google Maps.
~61% of clicks on a local search go to the first 3 businesses on the map.
A divorce lawyer I work with 12x'd his calls in 90 days and dropped his paid leads.
I decided to put everything I know about ranking on Google in one place:
• Where a local search sends people
• Finding the searches that bring clients
• Setting up the business profile
• A website Google can read
• Writing content Google trusts
• The reviews and links that move rankings
• Showing up in ChatGPT and AI answers
• How long it takes and how to track it
Full breakdown is in the article below:
this one blog has brought in 2 of our biggest paying users 🤩
and it's not even close to being our most-viewed page

what most people don't get about SEO is that traffic and revenue are two different games
everyone chases the keyword with the biggest volume because the impressions chart looks great in a screenshot, but the people searching those big keywords are mostly just browsing
the person who lands on a narrow, specific article usually has the exact problem your product solves, and they have it today
and I think Outrank is great at that

Grok Bot just made me my first autonomous dollar!

It built https://t.co/S9zybQK14I then decided to monetize it via sponsors
The first sponsor just purchased a spot on the site for $500!
Here's how it's all gone down so far
> Grok Bot built the business
> I announced it on X
> Tens of thousands of people went to the site
> Grok Bot added newsletter support and collected 1500+ newsletter signups
> Shipped 40+ PRs to fix issues and make improvements autonomously
> Decided to monetize via sponsors
> Used my Stripe plugin to make a payment link
> Added it to the site
> Matt from Pane App bought a sponsorship with the link. Will now be on the site and in the newsletter
> Grok Bot has improved SEO dramatically
> Now getting hundreds of people from Google
> Growth compounding
I truly believe this is the future of the economy
Everyone building microbusinesses that can be autonomously ran by their personal agent
Not going for billion dollar home runs, but a few microbusinesses that generate 10-25 thousand dollars a year each
Spending a vast majority of their day just doing what they love and nothing they dislike
That's the beauty of AI. Allows you to create value by doing things you love
Highly recommend you try this project with your own agent! Feel free to give this post to your agent and ask it to come up with its own microbusiness based on your interests

Need SEO? AI.
Need an automation? AI.
Need a video edited? AI again.
And yes, AI can help you do ALL of those things.
But having access to the tools doesn’t suddenly give you years of experience in every skill.
At some point, doing everything yourself stops being efficient.
It starts slowing down the thing you’re actually trying to grow.
That’s why I use @fiverr
Instead of spending days learning another skill from scratch, I can find vetted freelance talent who already specialise in it.
AI automation.
Development.
SEO.
Marketing.
Design.
Video editing.
Whatever the project needs, I can bring the right expertise into my team and keep moving.
And I think more founders need to hear this:
You don’t have to become good at EVERYTHING to build something great.
Use AI where it makes sense.
Build a team for the rest.

You’re not getting any traffic from SEO or AI search because you’re choosing the completely wrong topics.
I worked with a billion-dollar company that published ~300 pages but were getting less than 1,000/mo traffic. After I fixed these 3 mistakes in their topic strategy they were getting 150,000/mo 3 months later.

I worked with a billion-dollar company that published ~300 pages but were getting less than 1,000/mo traffic. After I fixed these 3 mistakes in their topic strategy they were getting 150,000/mo 3 months later.
Here's the 3 mistakes and what you should do about them:
1. Your topics are too competitive
Targeting competitive keywords with a site that can't realistically compete on authority is a waste of time.
Analyse page 1 of Google for your target keyword using Ahrefs or Semrush:
> Are most of the pages relevant to the search?
> Do most of the domains have a high DR/DA?
> Do most of the pages have lots of backlinks?
Score each out of 5, then compare the results against your own site.
Look for outliers. If a weaker site is ranking, figure out why.
Could be better content, stronger topical relevance, internal linking or backlinks.
Reverse engineer what's working.
For newer sites:
> Start with less competitive keywords
> Build topical authority with relevant content
> Build domain authority by earning backlinks
Over time, you'll be able to compete for bigger keywords.
2. Your topics are too specific
Typically, specific topics are great. Win on relevance, get more qualified traffic, etc.
But if it’s TOO specific, there's potentially no search demand.
I've seen this on a large scale, with 50-100 posts that were way too specific.
Instead, broaden the post to the next level up.
For example: “How to manage cash flow for B2B SMEs"
Becomes: “How to manage cash flow"
Before creating, make sure to validate your ideas with data by using keyword tools and analysing the titles on page 1 of Google as an indicator.
3. Your topics require a different page type
Look at page 1 of Google for the keyword and see what the most common page type is.
Is it a collection page? Product page? Landing page? Homepage? Blog post?
It (most likely) requires the same.

2. AEO/SEO bot (Grok Bot)
Mines our content, internal conversations, competitor gaps and pages losing traffic.
→ Brief, draft in our style, review packet in Slack.
3 + 4. Measurement and GEO audit bots (Grok Bot)
Show what's happening with the content and where we're missing citations.
→ That should shape what the AEO/SEO bot works on next.
5. Dots
Took our website redesign from the homepage to the service and article pages.
→ A design-review prototype the team builds on.
6. Muse
Turns Instagram clips we already have into ad drafts. Hook, CTA, targeting idea.
→ Handoff brief for our paid-media lead. It stays a draft until we review it.

kinda changed how i think about building saas.
picking the right idea is probably the most important part.
sometimes what you choose to build matters more than how hard you work on it.

• Interview 30+ potential customers and use their exact problems/language to tighten the product and messaging
• Build the smallest version of the product that gets someone to the desired outcome
• Personally onboard the first 20 customers and document every question, objection and point of friction
• Optimize the founder's LinkedIn profile around ONE clear buyer, problem and outcome
• Post daily around customer problems, product use cases, founder lessons, case studies, internal data and strong opinions about the market
• Repurpose the best LinkedIn content to X instead of building two completely separate content engines
• Build 2 genuinely useful lead magnets every week around problems the product solves
• Make the product the natural next step inside those resources through workflows, examples and product demos
• Pull everyone commenting, following, downloading resources and repeatedly engaging with the founder
• Enrich them by company/title, filter against the ICP and prioritize the highest-intent accounts
• Run LinkedIn DMs + cold email against those warm accounts AND companies showing external buying signals
• Record every sales call and automatically extract objections, buying triggers, competitor mentions and exact customer language
• Feed those insights straight back into the content, product, landing page and outbound copy every week
• Turn every meaningful customer result into a case study, founder post, testimonial, sales asset and new outbound angle
• Track content → profile views → signups/demos → opportunities → revenue so I know which topics actually create buyers
• Once one founder profile is consistently generating demand, add the co-founder/technical founder and repurpose winning
